We conducted a survey using a self-administered questionnaire. The results showed that employing the electronic chart training system enhanced the students' understanding of the system, thus allowing them to collect information using it usefully and conveniently. Using the electronic chart training system prior to their on-site training also allowed the students to attend training sessions with confidence. On the other hand, some students were confused by the differences between the monitor screen of the electronic chart training system and that of the system used at the hospitals they went to for on-site training.Therefore, the electronic chart training system was effective for providing nursing students with an opportunity to repeatedly practice operating the electric chart system prior to their on-site training.
