 note = {看護学部学生を対象とし，自然科学に対する興味・関心・意識並びに基礎知識の内容を知ることを目的として調査を実施した。その結果，科学一般について78％が興味・関心があると回答し，特に生物学分野にはほとんど全員が興味・関心があると回答した。もっとも割合の低い物理学分野でも約40％が肯定的な回答であった。科学的情報へのアクセス方法について，約70％がテレビから情報を得ると答えたが，新聞・雑誌・ネットを利用すると答えたのは，約27％であり，受動的な態度が示された。基礎知識について，「空気中における光と音の速度の比較」「地球の大気（空気）の組成」などの，いわゆる常識的内容の正答率が高い一方で，「温度の科学的説明」「電子レンジの原理」「イオンの説明」「原子量と分子量」などの物理学的内容については正答率が低い傾向にあった。看護学部の自然科学系科目では，理解の基盤に物理学・化学分野の基礎知識が求められる場合が多い。今回の調査結果を踏まえて，基礎知識を補充するなどの教育内容の検討を進めたい。　We investigated scientific literacy among the undergraduate students of nursing major enrolled in 2011. Most of the students (78%) were interested in natural science and almost all the students in biological fields. The results suggested they have an sufficient common knowledge of science such as the velocity of light and the composition of the earth atmosphere, however, might have defficient knowledge about physics and chemistry necessary to understand the nursing fields, such as temperature, ions, and atomic weight and molecular weight. The results should be fed back to the contents of scientific subjects of the college.},
