This study was conducted using qualitative and inductive approach. As a result , 2 core categories , 6 categories , 21 subcategories, and 643 codes were extracted. The core categories consisted of nursing practice that supports children’s growth and development and the roles of pediatric nursing based on health problems.The six categories were 1)support for children’s growth and development,2)nursing practice to maintain and improve children’s health, 3) the need for communication skills in pediatric nursing, 4)nursing practice that reduces negative effects of diseases on children and their families, 5)nursing practice that is performed based on disease progression, and 6)the roles of pediatric nursing for children’s disorders .
