| 内容記述 | 本研究は、中山間地域の高齢者を対象に、被援助志向性の実態とその社会的要因を明らかにすることを目的とした。2017年5月下旬に、新見市選挙人名簿より1/10の確率で無作為抽出された高齢者1,182名を対象に、郵送法による無記名自記式質問紙調査を実施した。調査内容は、高齢者の基本属性と被援助志向性に加え、外出頻度（閉じこもり傾向）、社会的交流（サポート授受）、悩みの深刻度とした。回答が得られた731名（回収率61.8％）のうち、各項目に欠損値のない485名を分析対象とした。一般線形モデルの結果、被援助志向性と有意な関連がみられたのは、性別、世帯構成、閉じこもり傾向、サポート受領であった。男性、独居、閉じこもり傾向がある、サポート授受の機会が少ないほど、被援助志向性が低い傾向にあった。以上の結果は、高齢者の社会参加を促進するサロン事業等の取組みが、高齢者の孤立化防止のみならず、被援助志向性や援助要請の向上・促進にも寄与しうることを示唆するものである。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of the study was to examine help-seeking preference and its social correlates among older adults living in amountainous area, Japan. Self-administered questionnaires were mailed to 1,182 randomly selected older adults aged 65 and older inNiimi city, Okayama prefecture, Japan. The questionnaire included the Help-Seeking Preference Questionnaire as well as itemsassessing social correlates such as household type, homebound status, and social reciprocity. Of 731 (61.8% correct responses) whocompleted and returned the questionnaire, 485 older persons without missing data were analyzed. A series of general linear modeling(GLM) results showed that help-seeking preference had significant associations with gender and with household type, homeboundstatus, and social reciprocity after adjusting for confounding factors such as age, gender, self-rated health, and level of psychologicaldistress. Those who were male, living alone, homebound and did not interact with others had lower preference to seek help. Thesefindings suggest that interventions to promote social participation of older adults (e.g. community salon) could increase their preferencefor seeking help, as well as preventing social isolation and loneliness. | |||||
