| 内容記述 | 本研究は告知を受けたがん患者が治療選択の意思決定を行う際、看護師がどの程度援助していると認識しているのか明らかにするために行った。その結果、がん告知をされ手術療法を受けた患者は、医師からの治療方法の説明や希望確認は十分あったと答え、治療方法決定に一番影響を与えていたのも医師であった。そして、患者は看護師に対してやさしい言葉や態度で接してくれ、自分の話を聞いてくれる"見守ってくれる"存在とは認識しているものの、患者に積極的に話しかけ、自分の権利を擁護してくれる存在としての認識が薄かった。これは、看護師が患者の意思決定への役割をきちんと果たせていない結果とも推測された。患者の意思決定における看護師に必要な役割は対象の受容と理解、具体的な説明、患者の権利を保障することであると考えられた。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This study was performed to clarify nurses' awareness of the degree of their support when patients informed of the diagnosis of cancer make decisions on the selection of treatment methods. As a result, patients who were informed of cancer and underwent surgery answered that physicians gave adequate explanations to them, confirmed their intentions, and affected them most markedly when making decisions on the selection of treatment methods. The patients considered that nurses' words and attitudes were kind to them, and nurses "observed" them, listening to them. However, they only slightly regard nurses as persons who talk to them and protect their rights. These results suggest that nurses are not playing their role in patients' decision-making as an ethical issue. The roles of nurses in patients' decision-making may be the acceptance and understanding of the subject, provision of concrete explanations, and the securing of patients' rights. | |||||
